Kassandra is the westernmost peninsula of the trident of Halkidiki. It is one of the most famous places in Chalkidiki with special touristic development and it has a lot to show in the cultural and touristic sector. If you like quietness and peace you can easily find pleasant and unique places. Kassandra is the most densely populated of the three legs of Chalkidiki. Its cultivated fields have a golden colour, while its wavy hills have rich flora and peacefull forests full of firs. The residents of the villages are farmers that lead a traditional way of living and are worthly continuing the Greek hospitality. It is a paradise with endless seashores and piny areas that come down to the bluegreen sea. Its beautiful sites look as if no one has ever walked on its clean ground with the dense flora and the clear waters that lead to a glorious join. During your stay in Kassandra you have to visit the cave "Red Rocks" in Petralona, which is an internationally famous area because of its paleontologic findings and its special atmospheric beauty.
