Taxiarhis

Taxiarhis is built near the top of Holomonta in an altitude of 650 metres. The tradition connects him with Mount Athos and specifically with the abbey Doheiariou and the monastery of Archangel Micheal . Its older name was Lokovi and was officially named Taxiarhis in 1928 from the protector Saint of the village, Archangel Micheal. It abstains 25 kilometres from Polygyros and its population is 1.078 residents.
