The Abbey is found between the Abbeys of Zografos and Dionisos, half an hour from the sea from the side of the Siggitikos gulf and is dedicated to the martyr Stefano. The catholic was built after the middle of the 19th century, above the ruins of the older temple. The Abbey has 9 chapels.
The Abbey is reported from the 11th century. In the beginning of the 14th century it was destroyed. Serb souvereigns are included in its benefactors. In the Post byzantine years, the periods of acme alternate with periods of poverty.
From the heirlooms of the Abbey distinguish the pictures of Protomartyros Stefanou, Virgin Mary the Guider and Virgin Mary Antifonitrias. There are also reliquaries, ecclesiastical utensils,etc.
In the library are kept 110 manuscripts and lots of books.
In the abbey is installed a fraternity of about 30 monks.
