| Skete of St. Triada |
< BR > The skete Kafsokalidia belongs to the holy abbey of Biggest Lavras. It is found in an abrupt, rocky place near the coast. It was founded in the 18th century from the monk Akakio. It got its name from the monk Maximo, who lived there during the 14th century. Maximos, each time he built a hut, and saw the others getting prepared to live near him, he burned it and left. This skete was the house of the oecumenical patriarch Ioakeim the third during his exile.
It is a Greek strange skete that consists of forty huts. It is lived by 35 monks that deal with hagiography, woodcraft, the microscopic art and the production of incense. Kiriakon is dedicated to the Saint Triple, it was built in 1745 and wall painted in the same year. Its narthex was added in 1804 and got wall painted in 1820.
In the library of the skete are kept a lot of printed books, icons, crosses, pontificals and bones of Saints.
