The Greek skete of the Evaggelismos belongs to the holy abbey Xenofondas. It was founded in 1766 from the priest Sylvester and the monks Efraim and Agapio.
Today there are twenty two huts that are lived by ten Greek monks that deal with the cultivation and the production of incense. It follows the strange way of monastic life. Kiriakon was built in 1766 and wall painted in the same year. It is dedicated to the Evaggelismos of Virgin Mary. The Skete is the place of rest of the bones of many Saints, while its library keeps 360 tomes of manuscripts.
