St. Dimitriou (Lakou)

A Rumanian skete that abstains one and a half hour walking from the holy abbey of Saint Pavlos, where it belongs. It was built in a height of 280 m between Marfonou and Antiathon. It was founded in the 10th century by monks of Moldavia. Today it consists of twenty five huts and is dwelled by Roman monks. Kiriakon was built between 1898 and 1899 and was dedicated to the holy witness Dimitrios. Near it is found the guest house.
