The Greek skete of Saint Ioannis the Baptist belongs to the holy abbey Iviron and is an hour walking from the monastery in the west. The Skete was founded in 1730 from Greek monks.
It is a strange Greek skete that consists of eight huts. All apart from one, that is lived by six monks that deal with the production of incense, are ruins. Kiriakon was built in 1779, wall painted in 1799 and is dedicated to Ioannis the Baptist. The Skete has also a house for the guests and a dining room.
