The harbor

The main commercial department of the harbor serves the merchandising movement and the transit of lorries, railway wagons and containers. Its other department is in the city and serves the passenger ships and car-ferries that connect Volos with Nothern Sporades, Mitilini, Cyclades, Crete, Chalkidiki and other harbors of the Aegean. It also serves the fish production activity, the fishing boats of amateur fishery and the relaxation ships that moor in the central beach of Volos.
