North of the gulf of Paroikia, on a high hill right across Dilos, it is founded in the beginning of the 5th century B.C. a sanctuary of worship for Apollo of Dilos. It is consisted of a courtyard with an altar, a temple of Artemis, sister of Apollo and a restricted area for feasts. In the area of Dilio there was found a Cycladic cemetery (3rd millennium A.D.).
